Honestly, I love the Olympics. I really do, and I find most Canadians to be charming people. However, the Closing Ceremony for the 2010 games have just left me FLOORED. I was laughing so hard I was crying. Actual tears. It was fantastic. I think I scared the neighbors.

Here’s a few of the good pictures.

Michael Buble with some of Canada's finest

It starts innocently enough. Michael Buble and some sexy Mounties. You can’t go wrong, right? Who doesn’t like sexy mounties?

Sexy Mounties! Yes please!

They’re sexy. They’re Mounties. They’re sexy mounties! So far, so good!

I like Buble. I'm man enough to admit it. I like Sexy Mounties more.

It’s like a bad version of a Canadian USO show. But still, I was there, I could put up with Buble and sexy Mounties, I really could. But… but then….

An Army of Mounties. And Giant. Inflatable. Mounties. YES!

Is that an army of Mounties? Yes it is. Are they being led by Giant. Inflatable. Mounties? Yes. Yes they are.

And a giant shall lead them.

Preparing for when they’re invaded by the Macy’s Day Parade.

"Statues" my ass. They're Giant. Inflatable. Mounties.

Oh, this is just terrific. I thought there’d be no way they could top this…

Giant. inflatable. Beaver. OH YES!

Wait. What? Oh, you’re kidding me. Is that… is that a Giant Inflatable Beaver? W.T.F.

How do you top a Giant. Inflatable. Beaver? With a Beaver in a canoe, of course.

You’re kidding me. And is that  Beaver in a canoe? Oh, now you’re just messing with me Canada. Very funny.

Moose and Beaver!

Oh, come on. You’re killing me Canada. Giant Inflatable Moose AND Beaver! I give up.

I should have known. Only one person could have saved this from killing me of laughter, but he’d already been out. The man who started it all…

SHATNER!

SHATNER!
